Milagros "Mimi" Acosta was born and raised in the South Bronx. She attended Lehman College and has worked in the youth development field for almost 20 years. She taught dance in afterschool programs for most of her career, while also working with youth in the foster care system and in juvenile detention, where she managed and facilitated creative writing workshops. Mimi has worked at organizations such as Good Shepherd Services, Voices UnBroken and the Department of Education. She is excited to be a part of the CFK team where she can bring her experience and love for youth development to the forefront. Ultimately, Mimi wants to be wherever the children of NYC are.
